PROJECT 1 | Building Analysis : Ecological Architectural Design

We were given a task to study and analyze the architecture, building design, choice of material and construction specifically for existing building located in a natural setting/environment, which adopts green technology and employs ecological approach to its site planning and architectural building design.

We need to select one significant work of architecture in any region worldwide and analyze the building in terms of the following criteria: 

1 | Contextual sensitivity to the place 

2 | Harmonious relationship with neighbourhood and culture of people in terms of spatial and form creation 

3 | Emphasis on the use of indigenous / local / natural and renewable building materials 

4 | Passive approaches or the adoption of green technology to environmental comfort and energy efficiency 

5 | Methods of construction and detailing which reflects the integration of environmental friendly structure, materials, construction, service and technology
