We were given a task to design a 2-storey tropical retreat house for Malaysian and German film actress, television host and singer, Maya Karin Roelcke. The requirement for her retreat house since she is a strong believer in living in a more sustainable house is:
a) eco-friendly 
 b) energy-saving  
c) utilizing passive design strategies
d) comfortable
e) calming with a natural breeze 
f) surround by beautiful landscape

the Idea for shadow pattern, materials and facade of Brise Soleil Feature as main attraction of this design


2. FINAL BOARD

A tropical retreat house that aims to give a calm and natural vibe to the client with the application of Brise Soleil Feature that allows natural wind flow to enter the building and create a shadow pattern of sunlight into the building.
Consist of outdoor activities for Maya Karin which is a horse riding activities area and calm landscape come with water feature elements and relaxing vibes for indoor activities that have a double-volume aquarium, courtyard at ground floor, and indoor garden at first floor.
